The accommodation provided on our overland Classic Kruger Park Safari tours are chalets, family cottage's and guesthouse's for groups; all at the most famous or popular camps in
the Kruger National Park.
Although
the accommodation available outside Kruger Park is generally
a higher standard than
inside, we do not believe in
accommodating you in a hotel outside the park.
In our opinion, staying outside will spoil your overall
safari experience.
Why stay outside the park when you can
safely stay inside! Living in the bush is just so different and so enjoyable. Sitting outside your chalet or guesthouse with a beer or
a glass of wine, listening to Lions roaring and Hyenas whooping, is
all part of your safari experience.
Subject to availability we will always provide accommodation at
two camps; staying at camps like Crocodile Bridge, Berg-en-Dal,
Skukuza and Lower Sabi all in the Southern area of the park and
then at the more Northern camps like Satara, Olifants, Letaba and
Mopani.
Chalet, Family Cottage - singles, couples, small
families, big private groups.
Each chalet
has 2 or 3 single beds, with cottages having up to 4 beds. Both
the chalets and the cottages have an open veranda/patio with a fitted
kitchen. The bathrooms are en-suit with single shower, toilet and
washbasin. Although the roofs of the chalets and cottages are grass thatched, they are also
kept cool with air-conditioning. All the doors and windows are
mosquito proofed.
Guesthouse - families, big private groups.
Guesthouses are more
secluded units within a rest camp. Units have two separated
bedrooms, which have en-suite bathrooms. Each bedroom offers 3
single beds. Guesthouses have a fully equipped kitchen with a
lounge/living room and an open veranda/patio. Bedrooms are kept
cool with air-conditioning. All the doors and
windows are mosquito proofed.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Note
Chalet, cottage and guesthouse accommodation is
serviced and kept clean on a daily basis - clean bedding sheets
and fresh towels are provided. A braai
(barbeque) is provided for your Safari Ranger to cook all your meals, barbeque style.
To ensure maximum
enjoyment of the wilderness sounds there are no telephones,
television sets or radios provided in the accommodation. CNN or SKY is
not available - sorry. Some camps have GSM signal so you will be able
to make mobile phone calls.
Each chalet, cottage and guesthouse has a fridge. Keep your
purchased snacks, fruit, soft drinks and alcoholic drinks cold
during the night ready for filling up the vehicles cooler box
the next morning.
All the major rest camps have electricity, clean
drinking water, a first-aid centre, a shop, a
Laundromat/laundry tubs, a restaurant,
self-service cafeteria and public
telephones. Only a few camps have swimming
pools.
Staying at two camps ensures your game viewing
is very much varied. We will always provide
the best accommodation suiting the number of persons for your
safari.
There is accommodation with accessible facilities for people with disabilities in the park's major rest camps.
Access in camps to all receptions, shops, restaurants, lookout points and other public use areas is almost always ramped.
With regards medical services, every camp's manager is capable of handling minor medical emergencies. Under serious medical emergencies we will be able to access a Doctor for you from Skukuza Camp via helicopter, to any camp in the park.
All the camps are kept
secure from roaming wildlife by an electric fence surrounding
the camps perimeter; so it's OK to walk around camp at any
time.
